Quick, colorful, pretty clean (minus that big ol’ pat of butter and the booze…whatever, live a little) and fucking delissssh
Got to lift a little today too! good day.
…is anyone else injured and/or sick and unable to work out right now??
My back is out and I have a wicked cold and I know my body needs a break, but it’s driving me crazy and I could use some support.
:(
?
45 minutes on the bike…back feels better but keeping it simple with the workouts for now.
dinner tonight: sauteed brussels sprouts and portobello mushroom sprinkled with togaroshi (aka magic spice). Fuckin’ yum, clean eating tastes great post-holidays.

Girls with Abs are girls with willpower never underestimate them
…or they’re also girls with low body fat/great genetics?
seriously people
Reblogging myself because the info here is so useful.
I get so tired of seeing people of varying body proportions ask for advice on squatting and get a reply that’s some variation on the theme of “Shut up and squat!” “Put some weight on the bar!” “No excuses, get under the bar!!”
OK, that’s great, and I’m sure it makes people feel all BAMF and everything, but also, PHYSICS. Not everybody is built the same, and the fact of the matter is that ideal position and load will be greatly affected by, among other things, lever length. Saying “my proportions are such that I need to modify this exercise to suit me” is NOT the same as making excuses. People with long femurs etc. are, in the main, not ideal powerlifters, so relative strength and ideal position for them will look different, and that’s OK.
“Strengthspo” is like fitspo: figure out what maximal strength is FOR YOU and go for that. I’m not saying you should stop short of your potential. Hell no; no matter what kind of coal you start with, you squeeze that shit until it becomes a diamond! But understand that the size and shape of that diamond will be determined by your starting material. Ain’t everybody going to be Klokov or Chigishev and that’s fine. You’re not trying to be Klokov or Chigishev, you’re trying to be YOU.
Science you make my brain hurt but god damnnnnnnnnn this article is good.
omfg this is great. when you’re 5’11” with a back injury seeing all this “NO EXCUSEZ~~~” shit with regards to lifting gets real old.
Today, I:
good day, for mind and body. Rome wasn’t built in a week mofuckas.

And as if any kind of squat will get you a butt like that.
First of all, only heavy squats will do anything to your butt.
Second, there are plenty of girls who squat like it’s nobody’s business and their butts aren’t huge or super tight. It will make your butt nicer for sure but the extent also…
